Christmas break

Happy Christmas to everyone at Lewes RFC and best wishes to you and yours for the New Year.
Training will go ahead as usual tonight 18th Dec 2008.
There will be no training or senior 1st team games from Tuesday 23rd December 2008 to Thursday 1st Jan 2009 inclusive.

Lewes pitches unplayable on 29th & 30th Nov.

Please note that all games scheduled to be played at Lewes RFC on both Saturday and Sunday are cancelled due to the Stanley Turner Ground pitches being waterlogged.
The 1stXV fixture away at Old Reigations will go ahead as planned and has NOT been cancelled.

Thirds lose friendly at Brighton

Jacko writes:- The 3s visited Brighton Saturday to play their 3s in a friendly, and arrived to find Brighton had many players due to their 2s not having a game. Lewes were short of 2 props at the start because of 3 players arriving late due to the early kick off at 1 pm. 

Lewes 3s Crush Heathfield boars

Jacko writes:- Heathfield 3s visited the Stanley turner ground on Saturday to play the 3rds in muddy wet conditions. Heathfield came with their normal heavy team, but from the start we were more than a match for them.

Lewes 3s beat Heath 4s in tight match

Jacko writes:- The 3s visited Haywards Heath IV in a game that swayed from start to finish, but managed to hold on to a winning score line of 27-22. Lewes lacked weight in the pack but still had good experience in Aiden and Dunc strong at the base at 8.
